FAQs
Here you will find information on frequently asked questions:
Can I wash my chest guard?- Yes, about every 2-3 months is recommended or about 3-4 times per year, depending on how often and hard you practice.
How do I wash my chest guard?- The chest guard can be washed in the washer together with your delicate or sportswear. For washing the chest guard put it into a bigger laundry bag or into a pillowcase with zipper (first closing all Velcro- fasteners or buckles).
On your washing machine select fine wear or shirts program at 30°C. Use the best liquid detergents for delicate fabrics or sportswear. Let it dry lying on the drying rack. Do not tumble dry.
Why should the chest guard be washed?- Sweat contains acids and mineral salts. If a garment (in this case the chest guard) absorbes sweat over an extended period, these substances attack the fabric and they (the salts) let it harden and it gets brittle. The acids attack the fabric on their own way.
Can I wash the armguard?- The armguard can be washed in the washbasin with mild or liquid detergent. After washing, put the bracer into a towel and press it dry without folding it. Then let it fully dry lying on a drying rack.
What’s the use of the two loops onto the back of the chest guard?- You can use the loops for the safety pins when fastening the competition card. In this way your chest guard and your clothes will be spared.
